2NIPS BEST OF 2010: PRODUCERS!

Here at 2NIPs, what we love about mainstream music isn't really the singer, but the team working behind the stage to present the whole package. Lets face it, anyone can have a no. 1 single with the right producers working behind them. That being said, obviously if the singer has talent and is obviously working hard they get some additional point. So with the help of our good friend Angelina up there, lets go through the people who have polished up some of the best music of 2010. One more thing, where are my women producers?! come on now!

10. David Guetta
Credits: Rihanna - Who's That Chick, Chris Brown -Yeah 3x, Kelly Rowland - Commander

David Guetta may not have been as previlant this year as he was in 2009, but he's still responsible for influencing the majority of the club sounding singles out including the notoriously catchy "Who's That Chick" by Rihanna.

 9. Swizz Beatz
Diddy-Dirty Money - Ass on the Floor(ft. Swizz Beatz), Nicki Minaj - Romans Revenge, Drake - Fancy (ft. T.I. & Swizz Beatz), Gucci Mane - Gucci Time (ft. Swizz Beatz), Jay-Z - On to the Next One (ft. Swizz Beatz)

Not only does Swizz Beatz manage to produce one or more tracks off of every major release, he manages to almost always get a feature sometimes with a verse but mostly with a chant for the hook.

8. Kanye West
Drake - Show Me A Good Time & Find Your Love, T.I. - Welcome to the World, Executive Produced his entire album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy(still hate that name)

Even Though his production credits don't reach far beyond his own album, Kanye has definitely proved quality over quantity.

7. Bangladesh
Gucci Mane - Lemonade, Ke$ha - Sleazy, Nicki Minaj - Did It On Em, Lil Wayne - 6 Foot 7 Foot

Bangladesh became a must have producer with "A Milli" and the soon-followed, similar sounding "Diva", but has only grown in style since. Bonus points for getting Ke$ha on an urban song, if she's gonna "rap" might as well do it properly.

 6. Will.I.Am
Nicki Minaj - Check It Out, Black Eyed Peas - The Beginning.

So Will.I.Am is probably one of the hardest working people in the music business. he's all over the place, and I give him credit for mastering the auto-tune. Maybe it's become a little redundant, but come-on he's getting better than T-Pain at crafting with auto-tune.

Tricky Steart
Ciara - Basic Instinct Executive Producer, Justin Bieber - Baby, Katy Perry - Circle the Drain & Hummingbird Heartbeat, T.I. - No Mercy(ft. The-Dream), The-Dream - Panties To The Side

We all know Tricky Stewart is the other half to writer/producer The-Dream, and together they make some magic. Also I think Tricky keeps Dream from doing so many damn ballads that all sound the same. Thank god for his production, they balance each other nicely.

4. StarGate
Keri Hilson - Loose Control / Let Me down (ft. Nelly), Katy Perry - Fireworks & Peacock, Rihanna - S&M, What's My Name & Only Girl(In The World), Wiz Kalifa - Black & Yellow

StarGate is Grammy-Award winning Norwegian songwriting and production duo. who've worked with everyone. Tehy have single handedly produced 4 out of 6 of Rihanna's Us. no. 1 singles.

3. Dr. Luke

Ke$ha - Animal Executive Producer, We R Who We R, Sleazy, Blow, Grow A Pear, Crazy Beautiful Life; T.I. - That's All She Wrote; KAty Perry - Teenage Dream, California Gurls, E.T; Three6 Mafia - Shots After Shots

This Year Dr. Luke has:
- Received 2 Grammy Nomination
- Produced atleast 5 no.1 charting singles
- Plces 33rd in Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business
- received 10 ASCAP Pop Music Awards

2. Boi-1da
Drake - Fireworks, Over, Up All Night, Unforgettable, Miss Me, 9AM to Dallas; Eminem - Not Afraid; Das Racist - hahahaha jk?; Lil Wayne - Bill Gates; Soulja Boi - Speakers Going Hammer; Keri Hilson - Buyou (ft. J. Cole), Gimme What I Want

Boi-1da is Dr. Luke's RnB/hip-hop parallel. He's produced so much and he's only 24. so much talent and potential for greater success.

1. Polow Da Don
Usher - Lil Freak, Get in My Car, Hot Tottie (ft. Jay-Z); Christina Aguilera - WooHoo (ft. Nicki Minaj), Not Myself Tonight; Rihanna - Fading; Keri Hilson - Buyou(ft. J. Cole), Bahm Bahm(Do It Once Again)/I Want You, The Way You Love Me (ft. Rick Ross); Lloyd - Lay It Down, Let's Get It In (ft. 50 Cent); Diddy Dirty Money - Your Love(ft. Trey Songz), I Know(ft. Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa & Seven (of RichGirl))

If there is one person dominating the popular music scene, it is Polow da Don. Hes become quintessential to crafting a souldful RnB song. He's responsible for a goods portion of my favorite songs this year and i expect bigger and better things in 2011.
